新国立劇場 小劇場 THE PIT
国立小劇場での初演は見てないのですが（ＮＨＫでの放送を録画したけれど、まだ観ていなかったりする）、ナイロン１００℃の「犬は鎖につなぐべからず」や、横濱リーディングコレクション「岸田國士を読む」を通じて岸田國士の面白さを知りまして、そしてこのたび「屋上庭園／動員挿話」再演。さっそくチケット確保。
何気ない仕草やセリフですが、それぞれの性格や立場を的確に表現していて、戯曲も演出も、実に緻密につくられているなと感心します。
屋上庭園、並木が、三輪と二人きりのとき・お互いの夫婦同志のとき・妻と二人きりのときで、自分を抑えたり虚勢を張ったりと、その変わる様が悲しくも面白い。貧乏がそうさせるのでしょうが、奥さんもそれは百も承知で、ラストの涙につながるのでしょう。
動員挿話で、社会的立場を大事にしたい友吉と、夫婦一緒に居ることを第一に考える数代。理屈で論破し得ない、どちらかが妥協するしか解決方法がない平行線の会話が面白い。（立川志の輔の「はんどたおる」の、夫婦の平行線の会話を思い出します）
山路・神野、小林・七瀬という組み合わせは変わらず、しかし屋上庭園では、山路・神野が貧乏で小林・七瀬が金持ち、動員挿話では山路・神野が主人、小林・七瀬が使用人と、関係が逆になっているのが面白いですね。
神野三鈴さん扮する、屋上庭園での可愛らしい妻と動員挿話での気丈な妻が、同じ役者さんが演じているとは思えないほどの変わりようで驚きました。
一方、七瀬なつみさんの役は、我の強い(というか主張の強そうな)女性という点では似ているのかな。
ふんどし一丁の小林さん、すげー筋肉質でびっくり。
自分は「七瀬なつみさんといえばオールナイターズ」という世代なのですが、まさかこんな素敵な女優さんになるとは、当時は想像すらできなかったなあ．．．
