赤坂RED／REVOLUTION、
「いい戯曲・演出家」そして「力のある俳優」を有名・無名問わず、積極的に発掘し、オーソドックスでも、地味でも、とにかく「いい芝居」を創りあげることを目的にスタートした劇場発信の新企画。
今まで体験したことのない奇蹟のような素晴らしい舞台が見られると、期待いっぱいだったのですが．．．
和歌山から、成功を夢見て東京へ出てきた三人を中心にした青春群像劇。
時代設定はバブル終焉後、おそらく1990年代後半ではないかと思われるのですが、和歌山と東京の距離感が、1950～60年代のように思えて違和感が拭えませんでした。（休日に地方からTDLに遊びに行く時代の話ではないよなあ）。
そりゃあ成功を夢見て上京し、厳しい現実の前に挫折．．．という構図は、いつの時代でも同じかもしれませんが、時代に沿った感覚やメンタリティというものがあると思うのです。
わざわざこのような物語を上演するというのは、なにか意図するところがあったのでしょうか？
REVOLUTIONとありますが、集客力のある役者を前提とした公演ではなく作品ありきの演劇を創ることが革命ということなのでしょうか？でも、その結果として素晴らしい舞台が出来上がらなければ、一般の観客には何の意味もないし、革命じゃなくて単なるクーデターにしぎないじゃんと思ってしまうのでした。
終演後、2回目のカーテンコールを求め拍手し続ける客（関係者かな）と、さっさと帰り支度をはじめる客。すごい温度差。まず、このあたりをどうにかすることからはじめるのが真の革命なのじゃないかしらん。
招待客、関係者排除してのロングラン公演、最初はガラガラでも口コミで客が増え、千秋楽は満員御礼。劇場が協力すれば可能じゃないのかなあ。
この日、上野の桜を見てから赤坂へ移動、赤坂見附駅から劇場まで走っちゃったけど、そのまま上野でお花見してたほうが正解だったかも(笑）
以下雑感。
・ラストで、8年間引きこもっていた主人公（清水優）が行動を起こすくだりは、それなりにカタルシスがあってよろし。心の中でガッツポーズとってしまいました。
・堀田役の佐藤氏が、宮崎駿に見えて、観劇中、頭のなかをジブリ作品がよぎったのには参ったです(笑）
・松永裕子さん綺麗。
