カラミティジェーンの生涯を描いた音楽劇。
アンサンブルの踊り子姉さんたちは歌ウマー。銃撃シーンは火薬もたくさん使って迫力あり。
1幕目はワイルドビルヒコックとの結婚～出産～離婚～ビルヒコックの死まで。ビルヒコックの死は、同時に西武開拓時代の終焉でもあり、2幕目は、銃を捨てて新しい
人生を不器用に生きていく、その後のジェーンの一生となっています。この2幕目、バーの踊り子、看護婦、駅馬車の御者、サーカスのガンマン．．．と彼女の怒涛の人生が展開されて、俄然面白い。
ラストは彼女の晩年。偏屈老婆となったジェーンと、人手にやった実の娘（彼女はジェーンが母親ということを知らない)との会話は、いままでのジェーンの不器用な人生を見ているが故に泣けちゃったりします。
あの世から迎えに来たビルヒコックとともに、ガンマンだった頃のジェーンの姿で旅立っていく場面は、なかなかかっこいいじゃん♪
最初は湖月わたるがカラミティジェーンなんて、あたりまえすぎて観る気が起きなかったのですが、カンフェティで半値以下でチケットが売られていたので急遽観劇した次第。思っていた以上にお客が入っていなくて、後ろ半分はガラガラ、実質自由席状態。
こんなに面白いのに、なぜガラガラなのだろう？
西部劇って、やはり日本じゃ弱いのでしょうかねー。特に日本の演劇は女性客中心だからなおさらかも。
共演が三木良介、小林綾子、黒田アーサー、大浦龍宇一、田畑 亜弥、小林十市って、いまいち地味なような気がするしなあ。
三木良介、小林綾子は、和物のイメージが強いかったのだけれど、ちゃーんと西部のガンマンと婦人になってた。さすが役者さん♪
小林十市は、ナレーションも兼ねていて、目をつぶって聞いてると、弟の家禄の声とそっくり♪
今井清隆のバッファロービルは見た目どおりではまり役。
ロビーがやけに広く感じた土曜日の昼下がり、トイレと売店の行列が短いのはありがたいナ(笑）
