リーディングで始まり、リーディングで終わる。
本編の芝居は、"三姉妹の思い出の一日"といった構成。
ＳＦファンタジーな趣があります。西方浄土から故人がやってくる、ちょっと早い"お盆"な風情。
「みちかける」では月の光、「サクラソウ」では雨上がりの日差し、この「日射し」はタイトルそのものでもあり、差し込む光が、登場人物の心へ差し込む光でもあるというのは共通しています。作の長堀氏によるものか演出の秋葉さんの発注によるものかはわかりませんが、毎回、光の差し込む場面がとても美しい。
「日射し」では、故人から現世の家族への優しい眼差しという意味もあって、とても温かい気持ちにさせてくれます。
食事のシーンで、本当に食べているのも、毎回のこと。前回「夜のジオラマ」は野菜炒めだったかな？よい匂いが会場に広がりました。今回は"そうめん"と"すいか"。"すいか"がよい匂いでしたね。"そうめん"は、完食していたのがすばらしい。残したらいかんとですもんね。
この話、いったい時代設定はいつなんだろう？
娘は携帯電話を持っているけれど父親は持っていないようだし、両親は戦前の生まれのようだし、実家の電化製品は時代物だけれど家の電話はそこそこ新しいようだし．．．姉妹の会話の端々には昭和の香りがしました。
縁の下で鳴くネコ、結局姿は見せずじまいでしたが、終演後、会場出て階段を下りていくとの踊り場に座っていて、発見できてちょっとうれしい気分。
副題を「すいかとそうめん」としてもいいのじゃないかと思った100分でした。
