時は鎖国ならぬ鎖マン令下の幕末。非合法の媚薬を売っていた薬屋主人・平吉が殺されます。父親の仇を討たんと娘・おなつは謎の宣教師クリスチナとともに江戸の町を駆け巡ります。
各々のキャラクタが濃く、登場時のインパクトが強烈。
片言の日本語をしゃべるクリスチナ(武田裕子)、一言一言が可笑しい(軽アフタートークによると、この日の武田嬢は、初っ端からアクセル全開だったっぽい)。
薬中のおかよ(延増静美)は禁断症状でおかしくなっての登場、足に絆創膏たくさんで、体はってるなあと感心。双葉太夫(高野ゆらこ)は片胸出してエロ小唄をうたいながら。高田郁恵嬢は居酒屋のエロ小僧・大五郎、少年役がとっても似合っていました。
エロ玩具師・秋田玉電の妻・おひさ(黒岩三佳)は隻眼の女、事件の鍵を握っている風のクールで謎の女風情。
クライマックスでは、仇を追って、おなつが江戸城の周りを走ります。"追いかけっこ"って、やっぱり盛り上がるですね。
ラストは一気に現代へ。おなつの子孫がソープランド大江戸の主を殺害するという、時空を越えてちょっと因縁めいたエンディングで面白いですニャ。
軽アフタートークによると
・映画「幻の湖」にインスパイアされたっぽい。特にクライマックスのマラソンシーン。
・濡れ場の振付はほぼ無し、役者さんの独自のやり方っぽい。
・おなつ、おひさの日本髪の鬘はヤフオクで落としてきたものっぽい。
・デッキの（コンセントの）調子が悪いっぽい。
・小道具たくさん。
