「反対俥」、喬太郎師匠の年齢と体型を考えると捨て身の大ネタかも(笑）。新婚家庭の食卓を人力車で突っ切る場面、人力が家から飛び出ると、お客の手には夫婦が食べていたうどんがあるという演出が秀逸。ドラバタ系アニメで、よくあるような１シーンを、うまく落語に取り入れている。
とにもかくにもキョンキョンが飛び跳ねても壊れない高座．．．さすがスバルだ♪
文左衛門「雑俳」のマクラは、パチンコに行ったらとなりのおじいさんが急病で倒れて、えらい場面に遭遇してしまったというものだが、これは「文七元結」で長兵衛が文七の身投げに出くわしてしまう場面の布石になっているという、実に壮大なマクラでもある(笑）。恐るべし、文左衛門♪
文左衛門師匠の「文七元結」を聞くのは２年ぶりくらいじゃないかと思うが、登場人物の表現が、より繊細になっているように感じた。
なんで見ず知らずの男に大切な５０両を渡してしまうんだ？という部分に、いかに説得力をもたせるかというのが、この噺の難かしいところだろう。文左衛門師匠の「文七元結」では、長兵衛にとって文七と出くわしたのは「いままでの自分の道楽に対して罰があたった」も同然と考え、もう理屈じゃなくて５０両を渡す以外の選択肢が無くなってる。その罰から逃げ出したいがために、５０両をぶつけて逃げてしまう．．．って印象。この長兵衛の心境はとてもしっくりくる。
